i think there should be someplace when you come to this site where it tells you what has been recently changed/updated. runescape has one of these and it is very helpful. i'm not asking you to type that much, but maybe a little message on the front page every now and then. i bet that most people in this clan didn't know about the chatbox added to the main page. once again, this is a suggestion, you don't have to do this if it's to much trouble.
